Celebrities at Honister!
You will be amazed who you may bump into on a visit to Honister! Over the years we have attracted the likes; of Sax genius Snake Davis Griff Rhys Jones Trinny & Susannah Coronation Street and World Cup winner Jack Charlton Paul O'Grady Show Richard Hammond Street Doctor and not forgetting Peter Rabbit

But Bill wasn't the only celebrity to visit honister today!
 Julia Bradbury was next to pass by filming a NEW Wainwright series.
Owner Mark Weir said "We were delighted to welcome both Julia & Bill who were fascinated to hear and see our incredible history."

The Hairy Bikers stopped off for a quick cuppa as they travelled over the pass!

Celia was quick to hop on the bike. Jet the dog looked on!
 And even our local Keswick Mountain Rescue called in for a break after a hard day filming on the fells.
 Last visit now on the 20.11.07 After a hard days filming the RAF Rescue stopped off for a well deserved rest!!

In 2001 The Duke of Edinburgh came to re-opened Honister. Pictured here with Mark outside the mine entrance.
Paul McCartney proposed to Heather whilst on his trip to the Lakes, which included a visit to Honister in 2001.
Jonathan Edwards and his family enjoyed a mine tour in 2004.
